Come back and dance

I ate at a "Bojangles Chicken" for the first time since I was a kid today. One opened up here in Orange Park after being gone for a long, long time.

My restaurant reviews can make or break an establishment. We all know what happened to Long John Silvers around here. (just kidding, I love LJS and am pissed they have all disappeared!)

Bojangles is closer to Popeyes in taste than KFC (I like both). They offered "southern" or "cajun" chicken. I chose southern this time but will have cajun on my next visit to see which I prefer. I had green beans and mashed potatoes and gravy. The green beans needed seasoning, they were too bland. The chicken was good. I also ordered the sweet potato pie. I was dismayed to find it was one of those McDonald's version of a pie. One of those hot pocket deals. While disapointed with that, I must say the sweet potato filling did taste good.

Next time I will be trying the seasoned fries and the cajun chicken. Stay tuned!

  • Bojangles is Back?!

I, too, remember them from childhood. Can't say that the chicken was all that memorable, but the biscuits? Uummm... the biscuits...

Where in OP are they located?

  • I'm not much of a biscuit lover, but I did eat a little of it and it was good.

It's on Blanding Blvd, you have to pass the Mall, pass Kingsley (Orange Park High) and it's just past Popeyes on the right.
