DeNirogator is out and about from time to time too
Okay, might as well delve into dvdguy territory with strange encounters out in the wild.....
Today, I'm coming back from the cafeteria holding my food and napkins and fork and whatnot. I am about to make it to the door to exit the building I'm in, to head to the research building. A man is coming along from another direction and beats me to the door. He has the door, starts opening it, then notices that I was also going to go out the door.
He says, "Oh, I'm sorry". He let's go of the door and stands away from it. So that I, with my hands completely full, can now try to open the door myself and hold it open for him. This man had nothing in his hands.
Again....... he had the door already open, saw me with my hands full, and closed the door and stepped away, so that I could open it up and hold it open for him.
I encounter some oddness such as this from time to time. I don't know if this matches any of "Dvdguy's odd encounters" (which he should have trademarked), but I can only give you what happens

And this happened to me two hours ago. I'm leaving the same building you were with both hands full, and a dude in a suit is heading for the same door I'm heading for at the same speed. We get there at the same time, and he stops, letting me open the door for him. My hands are full, his are empty.

Have you no decency? You won't even let me have my own odd encounter? You must instantly go out and recreate it?
At least he hadnt already opened it up and closed it so you could open it......mine still has that level of wierdoness.
